Disable Google Assistant While  Google Assistant is a handy tool to have for fun and work , it’s also one of the Android features that constantly gobbles up your phone’s energy. It’s listening for the wake command, is connected to your location for instantly fetching contextual results, and more. If you don’t heavily depend on Google Assistant, it’s best to shutter it. Unsurprisingly, Google hasn’t made Assistant’s switch easy to reach. You have to jump through a few hoops to find it. First, go into the  Google app  and hit the  More tab. There, tap  Settings  and under the  Google Assistant  header, tap  Settings  again. Next, select the  Assistant  tab and there, tap your phone’s name at the bottom of the list. Turn Off Automatic Wi-Fi Since the Oreo update, Android comes with a feature that continues to look for open Wi-Fi networks even when you’ve disabled Wi-Fi. To turn it off, open  Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi . Under  Wi-Fi preferences , uncheck the  Turn on Wi-Fi automatically  option. Check another tips on the next post.

Microsoft Update for Window 7 devices.

Microsoft will roll out a critical update for Windows 7 devices next month Microsoft has already decided on the end-of-support dates for Windows 7 users and while it’s a couple of months away, there’s a chance that users could get locked out of Windows Updates soon. Microsoft recently announced that they are moving to SHA-2 for better encryption. This is not a big news for Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 users but is a critical one for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 SP1 and SP2 users as they still rely on SHA-1 encryption. Microsoft had initially planned to roll out an update in April to fix the issue so the older systems could support SHA-2 encryption. However, Microsoft has now moved the date to March and the fix will roll out with Patch Tuesday for all the Windows 7 users. It’s really important that everyone downloads the patch as it will make older OS compatible with SHA-2 encryption.
