Microsoft Update for Window 7 devices.

Microsoft will roll out a critical update for Windows 7 devices next month

Microsoft has already decided on the end-of-support dates for Windows 7 users and while it’s a couple of months away, there’s a chance that users could get locked out of Windows Updates soon.
Microsoft recently announced that they are moving to SHA-2 for better encryption. This is not a big news for Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 users but is a critical one for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 SP1 and SP2 users as they still rely on SHA-1 encryption. Microsoft had initially planned to roll out an update in April to fix the issue so the older systems could support SHA-2 encryption. However, Microsoft has now moved the date to March and the fix will roll out with Patch Tuesday for all the Windows 7 users. It’s really important that everyone downloads the patch as it will make older OS compatible with SHA-2 encryption. After this update, Microsoft will be signing Windows Updates using SHA-2 which will not be supported on devices that don’t have the update. You can read more about this change on the Microsoft Support website.

Speed of 5G Network

In the future, your smartphone and all the other devices you have with cellular connectivity will use 5G instead of the 4G LTE technology they likely use today. How Fast Will 5G Be? Tech companies are promising a lot from 5G. While 4G tops out at a theoretical 100 megabits per second (Mbps), 5G tops out at 10 gigabits per second (Gbps). That means 5G is a hundred times faster than the current 4G technology—at its theoretical maximum speed, anyway. For example, the Consumer Technology Association pointed out that, at this speed, you could download a two-hour movie in just 3.6 seconds on 5G, versus 6 minutes on 4G or 26 hours on 3G. It’s not just throughput, either. 5G promises to significantly reduce latency, which means faster load times and improved responsiveness when doing just about anything on the internet. Specifically, the specification promises a maximum latency of 4ms on 5G versus 20ms on 4G LTE today. At these speeds, 5G beats current home cable internet conn

Tips to Improve Battery life (Android)

The tasks today’s smartphones perform are more demanding than ever. And to accommodate growing needs, processors have become more powerful and screens have gotten larger. Sadly, lithium-ion batteries haven’t made as much as progress. This leaves you to rely solely on software for longer-lasting endurance. Here are some practical tips for improving the battery life on an Android phone. 1. Take Control of Your Location The most drastic way to improve your phone’s battery life is to shut off the GPS function entirely. In reality, though, that’s not usually practical. Therefore, we instead recommend taking control of how your phone and apps use location. For starters, unless you have an active navigation on apps like Google Maps, switch to the Device Only location mode (on Android Oreo and earlier). In that state, your phone’s coordinates are determined only through GPS information. On the Battery Saving and High Accuracy modes, the phone employs several other modules including Wi-F
